The room
Worth slowing down for.
The cafe
Small bar. Rotating singles. Familiar faces.
We source single-origin beans and rotate them when the harvest changes. Our shots pull shorter than most bars in the area. If you've been coming in long enough, you've probably tracked a few different origins through the seasons and noticed the difference.
Collective sits in Newport's grid, the kind of place where regulars know each other's orders and occasionally each other's names. The wifi holds, it's quiet enough to sit with a laptop, and nobody is going to rush you out.
Pastries come in fresh daily. The case rotates, but there's usually a butter croissant or a scone worth pointing at through the glass. We're here six days a week. Closed Mondays.
From the community
What patients say after their first visit.
“The best espresso I have had outside of Portland. The baristas know what they are doing and they will tell you why a shot tastes the way it does if you ask.”
